In the summer of 2012, Pauline Barendse was invited by Nicole Uniquole to meet (then) the Queen of the Netherlands, Beatrix. During the tour in Palace Oranienbaum, where the work of Barendse was exhibited, she had an opportunity to explain her work to the Queen.
