BLOB RING Mare nostrum

BLOB RINGS are rings realized in silver and coloured plastics, which incorporate pop micro-objects, such as very small coffeepots or motorcycles, little animals or characters, with an omnivorous capacity worthy of the famous magma from which they take their name.

The collection starts in 1993 and is still going on with the development of new
pieces. The collection was conceived as the continuous creation of one-off pieces, as research and experimentation by the artist on shapes and materials that give different results each time.

The ring ‘Mare nostrum’ reminds us of ancient submerged treasures, with rare marine creatures on precious cliffs.

Exhibited in Paris, at la Galerie Italienne, in 1996, this ring is now at the ‘Pensieri Preziosi 7’ gallery in Padua, until 22 January.
